I’m not someone with grand stories about food — and I’ve never really called myself a foodie. But what I do have is a finely tuned palate, a deep appreciation for honest flavors, and a love for cooking that caught me completely by surprise.
Both my grandmothers — maternal and paternal — were incredible cooks and passionate nature lovers. I grew up watching them pluck fresh ingredients from their gardens and turn them into soulful meals. Back then, I never imagined that their quiet wisdom would echo through my own kitchen someday.
Becoming a food blogger wasn’t planned. But sometimes, it’s the unexpected turns that lead us exactly where we’re meant to be.
This blog began as a small spark during a dark, uncertain time. After walking away from a 19-year-long career where I gave everything and still felt unseen, I was left with questions, silence, and a stinging sense of loss. I wasn’t just out of work — I felt stripped of my identity, my independence, and my worth.
I tried everything — upskilling, job hunting, interviews — but nothing clicked. I was sinking, yet I refused to give up.
Then one day, writing called to me. I didn’t know what to write or where to begin. So I explored everything — from technical content to blogging — searching not just for income, but for meaning. And somewhere along the way, food found me. Something I once overlooked became my quiet refuge. Cooking gave me peace. And joy. And slowly, purpose.
That’s how Aromatic Kitchen Tales was born.
