How to Make Instant Coconut Ladoo with Only 3 Ingredients

3 Ingredients, 10 Minutes, Pure Bliss

Some sweets feel like a hug in a bite — and coconut laddoo is definitely one of them. Soft, melt-in-the-mouth, and filled with the warmth of coconut and cardamom, these laddoos are my absolute go-to when I want something quick and satisfying.

Funny thing is — I didn’t plan this recipe at all. It was born out of sheer curiosity one quiet afternoon. I had some Amul Mithai Mate lying around and a bag of desiccated coconut, and I thought, “Why not try something new?” That random kitchen experiment turned into a mini miracle.

The result? These coconut laddoos — made with just 3 humble ingredients — instantly became a hit. I first made them as part of our Diwali spread, alongside all the traditional mithais… but these little snowballs of sweetness completely stole the show. Everyone — from elders to kids — loved them, and they’ve since earned a permanent spot in our festive menu.

Now, every time I make them, someone says, “Oh! Those are your signature laddoos!” And I can’t help but smile 😊

So here it is — my curious kitchen experiment turned crowd-favorite recipe — shared with you, straight from the heart.

Instant Coconut Laddoo with Amul Mithai Mate
🥥 Ingredients:
  • 2 cups desiccated coconut (plus extra for rolling)
  • ½ tin (200g) Amul Mithai Mate (sweetened condensed milk)
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder

(Optional for garnish: chopped pistachios, rose petals — I didn’t use them this time, but you absolutely can if you’d like to add a pop of flavour and festive colour!)

🔥 Method:

1. Mix & Cook
In a non-stick pan, add the desiccated coconut and Amul Mithai Mate. Cook on low flame, stirring constantly for 4–5 minutes until the mixture thickens and comes together.

2. Add Cardamom
Stir in cardamom powder and mix well. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool for 5–10 minutes.

3. Shape into Laddoos
While still warm, take small portions and shape them into laddoos with your hands.

4. Roll in Coconut
Roll each laddoo in some extra desiccated coconut for a lovely texture and finish.

5. Garnish & Serve
Optionally, press a piece of pistachio or a dried rose petal on top for that festive touch.

💡 Tips:
  • You can add 1–2 tbsp milk powder for extra richness.
  • Want to make it vegan? Use vegan condensed milk and coconut cream!
  • Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

This recipe is proof that sometimes, the most magical sweets are made with the simplest ingredients. I hope you try these coconut laddoos and fall in love with their simplicity — just like I did 💛
